The Arcanes Duo , formed by Juliette Malek Mansour Kadjar on violin and Gabriel Diaconu on piano, takes its name from these well-kept secrets that we discover with patience and passion. Born in Brussels from a strong musical and human encounter, the duo has given itself the mission of giving new life to forgotten works and sharing them with today's audiences.
It all begins with an unexpected commission: to perform a Belgian work. Rather than replaying the classics by Franck or Jongen, Juliette and Gabriel set out in search of unpublished works. Their search leads them to the sonatas of Arthur De Greef, a Belgian composer who has almost fallen into oblivion. But the manuscripts, barely legible, require meticulous transcription work. Far from being discouraged, they immerse themselves in them, transforming this task into the real starting point of their project: symbiosis.
Juliette and Gabriel move forward with simplicity and sincerity, bringing these works back to life to share them with as many people as possible. Passionate about the history and musical heritage of the Kingdom, Duo Arcanes is preparing to bring to light other musical gems lost in the corridors of time.
